The project, promoted by the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT), defined Urban Strategies, Design Guidelines, and Regulatory tools for the protection and sustainable enhancement of the natural, cultural, historical, and landscape components of the Al Muwaiji Oasis, as well as for the proposed extension of the existing Qasr Al Muwaiji Buffer Zone. The proposal and concept design of a Heritage Trail, connecting several UNESCO sites in Al Ain, led to the identification of a site presentation strategy, the design of a wayfinding system, and the definition of presentation projects for historic buildings, as well as adaptive reuse strategies for non-authentic buildings.
